A Munch History
In 1952, we were all living the "Happy Days," watching vI Love Lucy on our 12" black and white TVs. Marilyn Monroe was a movie and fashion icon. The average cost of a house was $16,800, a new Ford started at $1,526 and gas for your Ford was 20ยข a gallon.
And Munch's opened its doors as a sundry store in south St. Petersburg. While almost everything has changed in the years between, Munch's has remained a St. Petersburg breakfast and lunch tradition, with deep roots in this community and a long list of awards and recognitions, most recently capped with a visit from the crew of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives from the Food Channel.
Host Guy Fieri gave glowing reviews of the food, the people and the whole Munch's experience. You can view Guy's video by clicking on the photo above.

Munch's Today
We don't rest on our laurels. We never take our success for granted. We are continually adding new breakfast and lunch items to our menu. Most of our staff has been with us for many years. We pride Munch's as being the place where everybody knows your name - where you are treated like a friend and not just a customer.
On this, our 60th anniversary, you have my personal pledge that Munch's will always strive to provide the best food value in St. Petersburg coupled with outstanding service.
